Taiwan is a part of China.
However, at ‘17 century’, Mainland China ‘was’ conquered by cruel and despotic invaders, Manchurians.
They not only massacred Han people, but also destroyed Han’s costume culture.
As invaders, there ‘was’ no different between Hollanders and Manchurians!
Why the resistance of Taiwan (Koxinga) was secessionism and treason?
The Cheng's Government was just like the Nationalist Government during Sino-Japan War!
Koxinga strived for defending China, but not opposed Unity.
He was a patriot, giving heavy setback to both Hollanders and Manchurians.
The problem was on his son, Cheng King, who dreamed for independence forever.
I agree that President Chen Shui Ban is similar to him.
And, the situation of China had changed.
Under the brilliant governance of Emperor Hang-hsi, Chinese people lived in a stable and prosperous society.
Taiwan’s surrender to Ching Dynasty was good for people’s livelihood.
If he counterattacked Mainland China for reviving Han’s governance, I still admire his patriotism.
Foolishly, his choice was neither one. Taiwan is totally different to Korea!
Therefore, the conquest of Taiwan was necessary and rightful.
