I remember I've had a similar experience when I was a little kid~
Though the difference is that it wasn't to do with dancing and shadow but playing gameboy and sound~
And what's similar is that they were both at night time and the fact that they both continued after we have stopped~
I remember for a certain period of time, I was obsessed with playing gameboy and would play it straight on for hours and hours (usually mario brothers 3)~
And I would just get so used to its sounds and effects each time I've been playing it that I could still remember them whenever I want afterwards~
However, what's strange and unusual is one night after I stopped playing, the sound that occurred most frequently (Wario break wall sound, those of u who have played it would know~haha) continued going on in my ears, and it only slowly faded away (became less and less frequent) till the next morning I woke up~
