CO2 sure is one o' the factors causing global waming, but i think most o' us here are missing the other major factor----the engines we use for our transportations. Now if we flick back through the high school physics books, we should realise that the engines we use for our private vehicles consume less than 25% o' the energy generated from the fuel. In other words, our cars only need around 10% o' that energy to get the engines to work. You might start to think "wait a minuite, if we use merely 10% o' the energy generated, then what happens to the remaining 90%???"
Guess what
the remaining 90% o' those energy will be converted to heat, and escape to the atmosphere (energy can neither be created nor destroyed). And becouse o' that, our temperature rises, and the ice caps melt in an attempt to bring our world back the equilibrium we should have.
About the rise in sea level:
Dudes,believe me, it's totally FALSE
Sure it seems "rising" to most o' us. However, if u study carefully, u'll realise that it is us who are sinking and made it appear to us that the sea level is "rising".
Don't forget the land masses we currently live on are on top o' the lava-and-magma stuff, and that any funny business going on down there will most certainly affect us above.
You'll then ask yourself another question: "hmmmm...but isn't Ice made outta water?? And if u melt it, it will turn back to its liquid form, and thus increases the volume o' water???"
then guess wot, U are right. But only half o' the fact i'm about to tell you.
The quantity o' water on our planet is constant, it doesnt increase, or decrease. Unless u pour more water from the outterspace into our planet.
Besides, like the guy who started this whole discussion about global warming said, that measurements weren't taken accurately. There's always a random error/uncertainty in the experiments we do.
