我自己都唔係好清楚, 只係知好少好少..
耶路撒冷係猶太教,基督教同伊斯蘭教三大宗教既共同聖地.
猶太人相信佢係古代第一及第二猶太聖殿之遺址,亦相信哭牆係第二猶太聖殿既遺蹟.
對於一般的以色列人黎講,耶路撒冷係佢地國家既象徵,佢地曾經能佔領果度,更係佢地既國家成就.
三方因為掙耶路撒冷而引發好多長期戰爭, 亦都令到其他國家介入,
而已故教宗曾因為引起好多戰爭而到哭牆前祈禱, 表示自己做錯, 場面好鬼感動.
如果我有咩搞錯左的話希望有人出黎指點下....

Jerusalem is a holy city has many reasons to it
for christians: Jesus died in jerusalem. he preached there for a long time.  prefromed many miracles there, basicly christainity's base and a large portion of the history is there
for islams: it is also a holy city because to them it is also a holy city because to them jeuss is a prophet and died there, also becuase God revealed himself to people many times in that city
for jews: there two temples was built there, it was the capital city of Israel, it is the promise land given by god
in the current status, they are having conflict over jerusalem now is because they are fighting over the weather wich religion really owns the peice of land.  since in the history jews were drived out from jerusalem by the romans a long time ago and they did not come back to the city, the islam then establish a mosque there on the mountain where the temple used to be, the jews later wants the land back, but the temple is already there so now they want to fight for the right over wheather which religion should have their religion place be build there.
